They must be doing something right because I noticed a sense of enthusiasm from my Canadian visitors. So, I started thinking...
What if we could come up with a new story for the floral industry - one that entices people to take notice?
What if we could position flowers in the minds and hearts of the consumer so they didn't think of them as luxuries but as necessities for a life well lived?
What if we could agree on a few marketing tenets in which we could all operate in comfortably?
Wouldn't it be nice to feel enthusiastic about our product, our industry, and our future because we had a focused marketing direction and a ready-to-use plan for implementation?
My friend and colleague Will Carlson of Webzone Marketing and Flower PR always says of the floral industry, "We are the best kept secret on the planet."
Isn't it worth trying a system designed so the whole floral industry can come to the front of the stage? Then when growers like Andre Meuleman of Hyper Active Farms spend five years to bring crops like these to the market we'd have a way to let the general population in on the news that his gorgeous Calas, Hydrangea, Ranunculus, and Hanging Amaranthus are available for them to see, buy, and take home to enhance their lifestyle!
All components of the floral industry are invited to participate in our "Full Circle" Marketing System for flowers and the floral industry by telling their stories in the MY Flowerhandlers and Flowerhandlers Network directories, the Community Bulletin, and our blogs.
