Catch-Up — Reflect — Renew!

It's Summertime!

Hello Flower Handlers!,

Summer has traditionally been a time when floral professionals catch their breath, catch up to other professionals, and catch up on some continuing education. With no major holidays to celebrate, fewer weddings in the hot months, and corporate activities slowing due to employee vacations there is usually plenty of opportunity for catching up.

Summer is also a great time to reflect on the industry, your business, your personal preferences, and to renew your commitment to your own dreams, goals, and visions. To help get your mind and heart moving in the right direction we've listed our favorite gatherings for you, shown a few more examples for you, and told a few more stories about the industry we have all come to know and love.

There's even a little "Design School" offered here. The flowers pictured on page 1 were left from a wedding. You can see them arranged in a "Summer Collage" on page 6. And you can get D-I-Y design instructions for an arrangement like that by joining the Flowerhandlers Community and reading the Tip-Sheet #19 from your free resources.

We hope you'll find a little helpful information, a little lighthearted entertainment, and a little enticing inspiration within the pages of this Summer Bulletin.

"Warm Regards & Best Wishes", to everyone who exhibited and attended. May 2010 yield everything you want for your businesses, your communities, and your families.

And as always,
Enjoy your floral journey,

Dottie Harrigan

"I want real flowers, perennials which not only grow and change and die, but also rise again and astonish me. A garden shouldn't just bloom and look pretty, it should develop like the rest of life."
