Three Notable Programs for Wholesalers -
WF&FSA continues to expand wholesale markets and generate understanding of existing markets to help members enjoy more success.
- Recently WF&FSA hosted an audio conference with a focus on serving convenience stores (who are always looking for the next new big thing). An industry profile on Convenience Stores and a CD of the conference is available.
- WF&FSA has joined ISES the International Special Events Society in order for wholesalers to gain an understanding of the events industry and those who design and provide flowers for events.
- On Tuesday June 15, WF&FSA will be hosting "OPEN TALKS: Understanding Florists Financially — What it Means to You" a program that will explore how a florist works financially so wholesalers can be in a better positions to serve more effectively. SAF Is At It Again!
The Society of American Florists has tapped into the hearts of the general population via some popular consumer publications that have run enticing floral articles and storylines. This is a great way for people to learn about the value of flowers from writers and celebrities who love and use flowers in their daily life. On June 23 and 24 the SAF will host educational sessions led by industry members and SAF staff professionals who will focus on the industry's hottest topics, including how florists can address new consumer attitudes and expectations; loyalty programs, coupons and social media; Gen Y buying trends and habits; better and bolder online business models; and post-recession growth opportunities. The conference sessions include:
